Community Integrated Residential Services (CIIRS)

Community Integrated Residential Services (CIIRS)

This model was created to promote personal development and independence in people with disabilities by creating a customized transition from 24-hour supervised living to a semi-independent living arrangement. Participants are responsible for selecting support providers, house mates, and housing.

Community Residential Care Facilities (CRCF)

Community Residential Care Facilities (CRCF)

A Community Residential Care Facility provides a safe, sheltered living environment to individuals who need some assistance with daily living skills, i.e. eating, dressing, bathing, and grooming, but are capable of some level of functional independence. It exists to meet the needs of people who have restrictions, who cannot, or do not want to live independently in their own homes, but who do not need the nursing care available in skilled or intermediate care facilities.

Residential Care supports their ability to continue living in the community by enabling them to retain and use their existing capabilities. It stresses the functional needs of the consumer rather than the medical needs.

Supervised Living Model I

Supervised Living Model I

It is typically offered in an apartment setting that has staff available on-site or in a location from which they may get to the site within 15 minutes of being called, 24 hours daily
